As Corona restrictions are easing we have opened all but St Peters, West Knighton and St Catherine by the Sea, Holworth in limited way for safe private prayer. Please see our Services page for arrangements for the resumption of public worship. Daily Prayer remains available. Do please get in touch however, if you'd like to join a live stream or video conference version or need prayerful or other practical support at this time.
Do take a moment to
look at the page with details of our services. You will be most
warmly welcomed to any of these as they suit. Our normal services
use the modern language Common Worship format. Office is said daily around the group. You may prefer our
informal Family style which are put together by and for the
congregations. Otherwise, look out for the Traditional services that
use Book of Common Prayer.
It you want to see what is going on this week - or to keep in touch with things further ahead - click on the Activities page. Young people meet on Fridays at EPIC in Broadmayne, and at Family Time in Owermoigne. We have regular coffee mornings and soup lunches. Friends of Benefice Churches would also be keen to hear from you. We would love to meet you at any of these occasions or involve you however you'd like to help out.
The individual parish pages Broadmayne, Holworth, Owermoigne, Warmwell, and West Knighton, follow with some more on our congregations and their churches. These are always kept open during daylight hours for prayer, peace and exploration. All have wildlife churchyards and most have a connection with Thomas Hardy. You can find out where the churches are there.
We would love to hear
from you if you would like prayer for yourself or someone else;
independent advice or support in crisis; or if you are hoping to join
a local congregation or use a church for your special occasion.
Watercombe Benefice takes its responsibilities surrounding the safeguarding of children, young people, and adults who may be at risk very seriously, and works in partnership with the Diocese of Salisbury to ensure that we work in accordance with best practice at all times.
