CWC in WoodsAll our churches except St Catherine by the Sea, Holworth are open for private prayer at least on on Wednesday afternoons and Sunday mornings.  Please see our Services page for public worship for which you will need to book.  Daily Prayer remains available.  Do please get in touch however, if you'd like to join a live stream or video conference version or need prayerful or other practical support at this time.

Like other charities, restrictions and reactions to Covid19 mean that our Parochial Church Councils are facing reductions in donations of time, skills and money.  We would encourage you to consider what you might be able to contribute to keep these wonderful ancient places of prayer and pilgrimage at the heart of their communities for generations to come.  West Knighton has a donate button on their page on this site.

We welcome enquiries for Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals.   Please see the relevant pages for more details. For Funerals and bereavement support, please contact the Revd Anthony Bush on 01305 852242, mob. 07711 749120 email bushinarcadia@yahoo.co.uk; or Mrs Jenny Bagnall, Licensed Lay Minister, on 01305 854950.  For baptisms and weddings please contact the Benefice Secretary, Julia Denham julia@mikedenham.co.uk in the first instance.

The individual parish pages Broadmayne, Holworth, Owermoigne, Warmwell, and West Knighton, follow with some more on our congregations and their churches.  All have wildlife churchyards and most have a connection with Thomas Hardy. You can find out where the churches are there.

We would love to hear from you if you would like prayer for yourself or someone else; independent advice or support in crisis; or if you are hoping to join a local congregation or use a church for your special occasion.

Watercombe Benefice takes its responsibilities surrounding the safeguarding of children, young people, and adults who may be at risk very seriously, and works in partnership with the Diocese of Salisbury to ensure that we work in accordance with best practice at all times.

Our Parish Safeguarding Policy can be downloaded [here]
